Terms & Conditions
NZSE College Policies and Procedures
1. Bookings
1.1. Bookings are made on a “first-come, first-served” basis. If the course or event is already fully booked, applicants will be placed on a waiting list until another date will be guaranteed to run (this is applicable to trainer-led courses, both online and face-to-face).
1.2. Student places are not guaranteed until payment is received and they have been fully enrolled.
1.3. Our scheduled trainer-led classes are public – which means other learners will attend, up to a limited number per session, determined by NZSE.
2. Withdrawal, Transfer, Cancellation and Refunds
2.1. NZSE reserves the right to withdraw a learner from a course if the learner:
- is unduly disruptive or unruly during classes.
- is in possession of alcohol or offensive weapons on NZSE premises.
- has been involved in any form of harassment whether sexual or otherwise. The harassment could be verbal, visual, or behavioural in nature which is offensive and unwelcome.
- copies software or data onto NZSE computers without authority or virus checking.
- uses illegal or unlicensed software.
- downloads offensive, pornographic or music, games, movies, or any form of virus or hacking software material on our computers/devices.
- has been caught cheating during exams or attempts to remove any equipment from NZSE premises without authority.
- has been involved in a breach of NZ Law e.g., possession of drugs. In these cases, there is no refund of any fees.
2.2. NZSE requires a minimum of 10 working days’ notice for any transfers or cancellations made to your booking of trainer-led teaching courses, both online and face-to-face (excluding packages that contain materials from our Learning Management System).
- If a minimum of 10 working days’ notice is provided, the learner may be able to postpone a course to a more suitable date or to cancel the booking.
- If the learner requests a transfer or a cancellation between 10 and 5 working days’ notice, a 25% transfer fee or a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. If the learner requests a transfer less than 5 working days prior to the scheduled date, a 50% transfer fee will be charged.
- If the learner requests a cancellation less than 5 working days prior to the scheduled date, no refund will be provided.
2.3. NZSE is not responsible for any changes in personal circumstances. We will not be held liable for any unforeseen changes in circumstances once the learner is enrolled and course materials have been accepted at the requested delivery address. Any requests for refunds on these grounds will be declined.
2.4. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances (such as trainer sickness, low course attendance, Government imposed measures: such as lockdowns, etc.), NZSE reserves the right to postpone or reschedule an offline, hybrid and face-to-face classroom course without notice. In such event, NZSE will contact the learner as soon as the change is known to organise new dates or a course transfer. NZSE will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid changes of this nature. NZSE will use all resources available to provide a replacement trainer or to reschedule the course and we will offer learners a variety of options to pursue their training programme.
2.5. For trainer-led courses delivered onsite, the learner must advise the trainer by 10:30 am on the first day of the course to be eligible to transfer to an appropriate course if they feel the course is not appropriate for them. Costs of digital materials provided by NZSE will be deducted from any transfer costs. The balance of the initial fee paid will be used to pay or part-pay for the new course. No refund will be provided.
3. Payment
3.1. All transactions are billed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST.
3.2. Course fees may be subject to change without notification – however, once a course is booked, we will honour the fee you have agreed to.
3.3. Full payment of fees is required before NZSE provides access to the course material. NZSE accepts Debit Cards, Credit Cards (No surcharge), PayPal, Google Pay, Afterpay and Shop Pay. Cash and cheques will not be accepted.
3.4. Payment is due at the time of booking. Payment of undisputed amounts must not be withheld pending the settlement of any claims or disputes.
3.5. Upfront costs will vary per course. If the learner is using a student agreement and paying for the course by instalments, the learner agrees to pay the instalments promptly on the dates specified in the agreement irrespective of the speed at which they are studying.
3.6. NZSE reserves the right to remove access to course material where outstanding payments (such as instalments) are not met. All outstanding payments must be made before a certificate of completion is issued.
4. Course Materials and Licenses
4.1. Completing the course and attending classes where relevant are the responsibility of the learner and not compulsory. All reasonable efforts will be made by NZSE to keep learners on-track with their course.
4.2. You may not transfer any Software you may be given access to or your account to another entity or person. You may not modify, translate, reverse assemble or reverse engineer in whole or any Software. You shall not rent, sell, time-share, lease, sublicense, transfer, copy, disclose, display, or otherwise make available, or transfer the rights to, the Software or copies thereof to others, except as provided herein.
