This course provides learners with the ability to demonstrate first aid knowledge of how to handle a variety of situations where people require basic life support and first aid. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn the basics of first aid and first aiders in workplaces.
Learning Outcomes
Identifying dangerous and hazardous situations
How to manage such situations and mitigate any risks
Collapsed person: Use NZRC Guidelines for Resuscitation including airway and breathing
Management of collapsed person/CPR including breathing support; circulation support (including accessing and attaching an AED where available)
How to provide basic life support and First Aid practices including shock and bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, and poisonings
